Does anyone know if it is possible to tell an early Takumar 105/2.8 (made 1958-1961) from a late one (made from 1962-1968) from a photo? I know they have a different formula and different weights but that doesn't help from an image only.

Thanks, Kris.

Wow, I go away for a few days and just look at all the great stuff I've missed.

Here are some contributions of my girlfriend's spry old dog using the 85/1.9:

I always read this thread, but have not posted in a while. Took this a few weeks ago. Taken at ISO 1600 on my K7. Takumar 55mm 1.8 wide open.

Not to worry, some of us caught it. I guess I can be classified as a "non native english speaker" as I grew up in MS.

I'm tempted to say "That's even worse than growing up with MS" but the last time I made a joke around here based on a preposition I got in trouble, so I won't say it.

Super-Multi-Coated Takumar 50 1.4

Having stumbled upon a Tele-Tak 300 at a hock shop and having purchased this 50 at about that same time, the initial tryout for
both lenses came on the same afternoon. I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the files later and realized how good the 50 was!

I have not posted in sometime, lots of fantastic photos.

Is it only me or is there a problem with this forum, I get "SERVER NOT FOUND" up to 10 times before getting in? This is the only place I get this.

Here is a new shot:
This is my slave model #1. Slave #2 is resting.
This one has a great quality: it always do what I want. The other one must be convince to do as asked. Mind you, it is not very difficult to convince and I will not ever mistreat them.
