Just look at how it rendered the out of focus area ! That's one of the things I love about this lens. A more impressionistic rendering IMHO . And no I don't find it distracting I think it ADDS to the overall picture Very nicely done

The addiction is just beginning

Yes, she is quite the lens. 82mm front filter size iirc

Hopefully all will work out and she will be mine

My camera has returned from CRIS at last!

My girlfriend is getting better at ignoring me when I run around photographing her. (She just keeps on reading). Mostly since my K-7 returned I've been playing with my new 15/4, which sat in its case for a month completely untested, while my camera was away. But today I put on my equally new official first-party Pentax K-M42 adaptor and took the 105/2.8 for a spin, experimenting for the first time with green button metering in Manual mode.

Enough talk, here are a couple resultant efforts:

On that latter one, I may prefer the B&W. I'm not sure. I will post a link but not fill up space with the image itself: B&W version

I've sold some of my Takumars off, but this lens I am not letting go.

Getting a beautiful woman to ignore you is hardly an accomplishment; they've been ignoring me for as far back as I can remember.

Haha, true enough. Perhaps what I meant is she is becoming more adept at ignoring the camera.

Glad to see your camera has returned Nice results too ! You really have that 105mm nailed down ! Did you sell the 85mm?

Eric

By the way

Nice work Mike ! Does the K5 handle metering the Taks as well as the K20 ?

Thanks!

Yeah I sold the 85, along with the 35 and 28. The latter two were redundant in my system and scarcely ever used, and for whatever reason I had been unable to muster affection for the 85. The only Taks I've used consistently have been my 50/1.4 and 105/2.8, though I retain also the 135 and 200 in case I feel a tickle for some longer FL shooting.

Better.

Another rehearsal shot. I took these back in November but only got around to finishing up them up last night. Nobody is looking for or expecting these so I took the liberty of working them up in b/w. They're basically "throwaway" shots done while checking exposure and flash setup for the next day's recital.

So, just how weather resistant are these lenses? My Super 35/3.5 got exposed to a little rain today (if I have to sacrifice one of my lenses, it has to be one of my less expensive ones ) , and I'm just wondering what I can expect to happen to it (i.e. moisture inside, etc.).

And damn, Mike. I'm quite jealous of your Nihon buyou shots.
