Thinking I'll bring, the 105, super-multi-coated takumar 50 1,4 and da 16-45 for my k-7. Think that's a good combo?
Some people claim that for older lenses with bad (or no) multicoatings, a UV filter can reduce the odds of flare. In newer lenses with good multicoatings, a bad filter may actually
increase the odds of getting some lens flare.
Your best bet for keeping flare in check is to use lens hoods on all of your lenses, but especially the Taks. You can probably get away without it on your 50/1.4 since you've got the range covered more or less with your DA zoom and are likely to pull the the 50 out during low light situations when flare is pretty unlikely. I have the S-M-C 105/2.8, and even with the lens hood in place you still get flare if you shoot towards the sun, so really the trick is just to be mindful of where you're pointing, and if it IS really sunny, try to fill the frame with your subject.
