Excuse me for overposting on this page, but if the experience of the past couple of months are any guide, I'll make up for it by hardly having any access to my computer throughout the coming week.

Repetition and lines.....that's the story of my working life. Same crap over and over again and endless hours of sitting in miles-long lines.

I'm most proud of that photo for managing to shoot so an intervening fence didn't impinge upon the ships (it was a close thing) and that I managed to do it while making a U-turn.

Mike, Is that truck at least an automatic or do you have a steel clutch leg?

I only use the clutch when starting and stopping. There is no need to use the clutch for changing gears. You just have to match the engine speed to the road speed and the gears will shift effortlessly without the clutch. Upshifting is a breeze; downshifting takes a little practice.

Yep, I have a CDL, I move our equipment around the country. I was just curious because I drove through Pigeon Forge, TN yesterday and it wore my left leg out stopping and starting in the tourist traffic. I can only imagine stop and go through Tokyo NOT FOR ME !!!

But I guess that is what gives you time to capture those moments we love so well

St 135/35

A couple more from the same night a couple weeks ago with the Super Tak 135 / 35. A little more creative with the flair, etc, this time around:

Sameagle - The lighting on the baby in your second photo is really nice...That rim lighting is very interesting. Did you have to add any fill light in PP?

I went to The Greek Theater (UC Berkeley) the other day for a show.

I chose the Auto-Takumar 55 1.8 mainly for it's compact size....easily concealable in my friends girlfriend's purse (along with K-5 body)

This was also a little practice for my manual focus skills....The Focal Length worked out pretty well for where we were standing...but a zoom would have been nice. Both of these were shot @ f/8 iirc.

@f/2.8

This is the best $1.00 lens ever

Thanks BlackRock!

I was pretty free wheeling with the tweaks in lightroom and don't recall exactly which adjustments I made, but it's a pretty safe bet that fill light was one of them. :-)

I love image #3, too. Great photo.

Next time you go to a concert maybe you can bring along a 2x teleconverter, too. I'm going to BAD in Boston tonight and was thinking about doing exactly that. I have wimped out tho and am just bringing my K-x/DA40 in the hopes the camera will look like a point-n-shoot.

But I was obsessing yesterday about maybe bringing my 50 + teleconverter.
Sneaky!

If you look in Lightroom, you should be able to find a history of exactly what tweaks were applied.

PS: some day when you are bored you should put together a quick video of yourself driving your truck around and taking your pics. I think the "Behind The Scenes" of Mike Cash would be fun for us Tacky Clubbers.
