So finally my wife is back with the camera! I threw on the 50 1.7 and played with it for a short time (had a DA 10-17 to play with too!).. nice and sharp, just not sure when to reach for this since it's fairly close to the 43 Ltd. But I know it will get used a lot more than the 50 f2 would have. 800 ISO 1/200 sec @ f1.7

I don't believe there is an f1.7 lens in the entire Takumar collection... maybe it's a 50/1.4 or 55/1.8?

Thanks Paul... that 1st sign is at a Restaurant owned by a woman that copyrighted the term/word HON... which if you're from Baltimore is part of the language. She took a beating in the papers and has lost some business over it plus she has a ton of competition in the area now. Why Cafe Hon got picked to be on "Kitchen Nightmares" is a surprise, I think it proves there are really no true "Reality TV" shows, cable TV or not. I predicted with some friends beforehand that she would probably make some big announcement giving up her copyright, and she did...

Dragonfly with SMC Takumar 500mm f4.5 and Nikon D200. I replaced the filter holder with a custom made adapter that will allow the use of a bellows for close focus. The 500mm now have a minimum focus distance of 1.2 meters. I now have the option of using any camera via a modified Tamron Adapt-all adapter. The setup also achieves infinity focus on any camera. The manual focus makes it a slow working lens, but with patience, excellent results can be obtained!

Not being familiar with "Bawlmer" or Kitchen Nightmares, I found these to be helpful

I found this one very amusing Hey HON! The Bawlamerese Lexicon

Not being from around here (Baltimore) or 5000 miles around, I cannot understand how such a small thing can become a big deal in a city. Don't they have unemployment, safety issues, etc, to worry about it? Besides, the Oriols too. :ugh:

I'm with you on this Pepe, Sport mania always baffles me (not just Baseball, I'll admit being baffled by Hockey mania as well (I think my Canadian Passport just went up in flames )
