I have a few test shots I took today with the Takumar 135mm F3.5 Preset. They are landscapes taken while out on a hike/shoeshoe in the high country. All were shot at F11. It was very overcast/dark, but some of these turned out good I think. This lens is VERY sharp, I think I'm going to like it
I like these, esp the 1st one, with the sun trying to break thru.

Thanks, that is my favorite of the day also. Don't get a chance to shoot that type of light many times.

Thought I'd post these too. These were shot with the Takumar 200mm F3.5 Preset. Mostly around F5.6

While out hiking, I had a chance to photograph some wildlife.

The first wildlife for the day was a small group of juvenile Mule Deer bucks. Two had already lost their antlers

Later I saw a large group of Bull elk in the distance and started hiking towards them. As I got closer, I seen that there were a few coyotes wandering among the herd. This made the herd nervous, so I wasn't able to approach them as close as I usually do.

Later on in the day, towards sunset, I saw another herd of bull elk and I was able to get a little closer. I didn't spend much time trying to get closer, since the sun was setting and I only had a light pair of gloves on (hands were getting pretty numb trying to hold onto the camera )

This bull elk was by the side of the road as I headed home this evening

Hope you enjoyed the photos!

Nice Job Mental Mars, and CJ, I am moving to Colorado. I use to tell Mike Cash that I was going to move to Japan, I changed, now I am going to Colorado. I used to go there to Colorado Springs to visit when my kid was at the AF Academy.
Here is something I shot yesterday with my Super Tak 400mm f4:

Coming...

Also, with the Super Takumar 150mm f4:

And, with the Auto Takumar 105mm f2.8:

Pepe, the 150/4 is under-sung. I only used mine a couple of times, but it has delivered some beautiful images.

I like the image definition you got with it, gives a good feeling with your subject.

The 150/4 was recommended by a pro instead of the 135/35, go figure.

Phil.W, welcome to the forum. I really like your collection. Once you are a Takumarian, you cannot stop. I got a good collection of those to. I am even selling my Limited to fund the Takumars. Good thing there are not too expensive. Please post some photos taken with all those lenses. I just got in the mail the Tak 300/6.3, which I could not resist for the price. I hope it works well.
