Nice summertime shots there Unartist, here was my view driving to work this am as shot with my Tak SMC 50 1.4. Talk about diversity I love the way this lens renders.
Thanks!

Love the way you used the 50 for this scene. It takes great landscape photos with just enough compression of space with no distortion... if that makes sense

Super-Multi-Coated Takumar 55 1.8

I went to a miniature train event yesterday. This copy of the S-M-C 55 1.8 has a bloom of fungus developing on the front element. I guess I'll do some doctoring in the fall.

At the entry gate there was a sign prohibiting bicycles on the grounds:

SMC Takumar 135 2.5 v.1

These were on the same card as those of the previous post. I generally like this 135 lens. Decent colours and sharp throughout 5.6 and higher.

Pretty decent as a portrait lens with soft oof areas.

I have been bitten by the Takumar love. LBA in full swing after I first try out the SuperTakumar 35mm f/3.5 on my NEX 5N.

Some shots with the SuperTak 35mm f/3.5 wide open with the NEX 5N this morning with the Konica AR setup that I talked about in previous page

From top to bottom
M42 lens -> M42 to Konica AR adapter (sliver adapter) -> Konicar AR to NEX -> NEX 5N

Cheers,
Hin

And when I use a Zhongyi Lens Turbo focal reducer, the SuperTak 35mm f/3.5 is offset with the focal reducer on crop factor plus 1 stop of light

FL: 35 * 0.72 * 1.5 = 37.8mm
Speed: + 1 stop = f/2.4

Something like SuperTak 38mm f/2.4 on my NEX 5N that gains back close to the Full Frame view in film

likely f/5.6 with SuperTakumar 35mm f/3.5, Lens Turbo, NEX 5N

likely f/5.6 with SuperTakumar 35mm f/3.5 , Lens Turbo, NEX 5N

Cheers,
Hin

Thank you!

The last two picture were shot from the combo of SuperTak 35mm f/3.5 + Lens Turbo + NEX 5N

And the love bug with SuperTak 35mm f/3.5 follow with a black spomatic beauty and the SuperTak 55mm f1.8

Cheers,
Hin

Nice shot. That les is really good (the bayonet?), but difficult to use. That is why many people dont like it. I think it is superfast and sharp.

This was with the M42 SMC TAK 135/2.5 lens. Thank you, it took me awhile to get her to smile and open up.

Hat, by Auto Takumar 55mm 2.2 and K20D. My attempt on holiday recently at re-creating photos that look like an early 1960s fashion shoot. (Or something like that!)

Today was a happy day. I got an addtion to my set, SMC Tak 35/2. Looks promising from first couple of frames. Feels wonderfully balanced. So now I have got near the end of collecting.

The STak and SMCTaks I do not have are:
15mm/3.5 - too expensive
17mm fish-eye. Expensive and I have not seen what it provides on APS-C to convince me it is worth getting.
18mm fish-eye. This seems like a 'toy lens'.
85 - expensive, and waiting for a chance.
100/2 - I have seen the few pictures posted here and once saw a picture of it. So rare the price is probably rather high.
100 macro - waiting for a chance.
120/2.8 - waiting for a chance.
I have the 200/4 but not the 200/3.5.
400 - expensive and probably not very useful to me.
500 - expensive and probably not very useful to me.
1000 - very rare and too expensive, and besides I have the brilliant Rubinar 1000/10 mirror - which got me interested in M42 lenses.

Of all the ones I have I like the faster versions of the 55, 135 and 300 and my favourites are 20/4.5, 55/1.8, 135/2.5 and 300/4. But none are poor.

I must line them up for a portrait one day.
