Thanks Arjay.
Actually, "Miner" is the correct spelling for the Australian native. "Mynah" is the name of the imported pest species, the Indian Mynah (or sometimes "Myna", withouth the "h").

It's a joy to use and pretty sharp
Nice images Simon. You're getting much better shots than I ever could with my SMC 200 Tak. We could never agree on anything, so I had to let her go...

Here's one more from the 50mm tak (wide open) on the A7:

This looks bloody gorgeous on a full frame! Is it an F1.4? Sorry I am not sure which one is 8 element.

Thanks rrstuff. Yeah...based on everything I've read about it, it's the first version of the 50mm f1.4 but was only manufactured for a short time in 1964 because it turned out to be too expensive to produce (it's said that Asahi lost money on every copy sold). The subsequent versions of the 50mm f1.4 all had 7 elements.

today's Single In shot with the 55 1.8 tak - first one I've done any PP on exposure was just to wonky with the sign

---------- Post added 6th Nov 2014 at 22:46 ----------

And todays Spare from this morning on the way to work. Did some PP here (mostly for the Selenium toning and a little contrast)

I haven't posted here in awhile. I accidently misposted this to the FA Limited club thinking it was the FA43, these taks hold up well!

S-M-C Tak 50 1.4 (~60% crop)

This is very nice! Was this image heavily post-processed or it shows more or less lens quality?

Thanks! I processed it using Lightroom and Nik Silver Efex, so it does have a bit more contrast and darker blacks than the original shot (and way more exposure and shadows as I exposed to save the highlights). That said, the orig shot was so sharp, contrasty and good that I a) confused it with my FA43 and b) was able to crop it 60%, it didnt even need big adjustments after the crop. So yes, the S-M-C Tak 50 1.4 (mine even has some fungus etc) is fantastic and this shot shows the quality of the lens more or less (But you need to see it on flickr)

SMC – Tak 28/3.5

The SMC – Tak 28/3.5 on architecture. This is a fine lens, but pixel peepers can complain some edge softness. Anyway I’ quite happy with mine!

Found this in my archive, from the very beginning of my journey into film photography (I'm old enough to remember it first time round, but not old enough to have done it). Second camera I ever bought, Spotmatic F, and the second film I put through it, a Kodak BW400CN. Reminds me how much I love that tank and how I've neglected to use it recently.

My friend Karen came over from Japan and we met up in London. This was taken on the Strand with an SMC Takumar 55/1.8, Hoya orange filter, 1/60s wide open.

I presume you mean the 100/4 macro, not the 100/2?

Very pleasing images.

Sorry, yes Tim the 100 F4 Macro. I use it in manual mode with the k3 and sort out the settings by chimping based on initial sample with the green button.
