What an incredibly lovely portrait. Congratulations and thanks for sharing!

The 135/2.5 is such a good lens for portraits, even better than 50/55s I find. Having said that here is a close-up portrait by an early Super Takumar 50/1.4

Both good, but of different styles.

the Super Takumar 105mm f2.8 arrived yesterday. No fungus (despite the warning on ebay) pre smc, small rib version. very nice lens. a couple of usual suspects test shots to get me started with it

Blu -

That's a lens I'd like for Christmas! The first photo is especially good, lovely tones.

And this is by a Super-Multi-Coated Takumar 50/1.4, a lens that brings out great colours from digital sensors.

my 50 1.4 is also not smc just super tak, the 50 1.4 is a fantastic lens - heck all the taks are pretty special, nice example of why
Got my 105 for a great price i was the only bidder, the seller mentioned a possibility of fungus - not a speck must have kept the price down though

That looks very nice. I found my initial reaction was, is that boat suspended on a rope a couple of floors above a street.

Very nice clarity and colours.

I took this shot of my father-in-law last night at our Christmas dinner. I think the Takumar 58/2 is a decent lens.
