Very clear and sharp. Nothing wrong with old glass that I can see.

Outdoor Tak Test

Hello again, everyone.

After doing the indoor Tak test, I realized I should do an outdoor test, so I went to my local airport, JFK, and gave it a try.

I have to say that I'm very pleased with the results. I think this is a very sharp image.

This is a photo of a 747-8 taking off taken with the Takumar 150mm f4.0. F stop was f11.

The composition is off; I think the plane should be lower in the frame, but I'm not used to tracking moving objects with the K-01.

This was taken on a bright, sunny day with a cloudless sky; I want to go back and take more when there are some clouds to give the image some kind of background.

I'm beginning to use my Taks more and more.

When not in a rushed situation, I love these lenses.

Mike

Went out to see some friends play:
With the Super-Tak 50 1.4
Hard to get focus right, but not bad for a dark bar. Mostly at f2 I think.

Spending the month using the Super-Takumar 35/3.5. So far, not entirely happy with it (bit soft and CA-y in daylight, it seems). But, a shot with a close-up filter attached:

The 35/3.5 soft? Maybe there is something else wrong. That is the sharpest little thing.

I have to handle my 35mm/3.5 with chainmail gloves in case I lose a finger from the sharpness.

That's what I used to think, but under bright sunlight I'm finding I need to get this one down to f9.5 in order to get anything I find acceptable. (It might not be so much softness as CA.)

Mines sharp from 3.5. It will get a "bit" of ca along very very high contrast edges even stopped down, but generally I feel I can call this lens clean.
