A few images, xposted in post your photos. Taken today 05/08/2015, handheld at distance with super takumar 200mm f/4.

Cropped shot of a barn swallow on a power line.

Main marina @ Prince Gallitzin State Park, Fallentimber, PA 16639. Taken from across the lake (roughly half a mile or more).

Sorry, since I did engineering in power supply, first thing I look at is the very good rendering of the power line, in this case, complete with the comms line wrapped around it. I cannot help but focus on the power line, poles and associated hardware.

Was doing some tests with 200mm f4 SMC tak on a monopod, when reviewing noticed a little insect had entered the frame :P

Scored a Super Tak 28mm 3.5 with hood. What a wonderful little lens.

And it handles flare surprisingly well:

Do you have the 58mm filter version, with round hood, or the later 49mm filter, with the rectangular hood?

I have the earlier version and agree re the flare. Sometimes it seems soft - but that could be my focusing.

It's the 49mm w/rectangular hood. I've found nailing focus extremely difficult with this one, so been using live view more.

Some shallow depth of field shots with the K3, an extension tube (31mm I think) and the SMC Tak 55/2. No tripod as these were jst quickies while I waited for the Mrs to get ready to go out for lunch.

My First Ever Takumar Wide Open - No Post-Processing!

This was taken with my first ever Tak: a Super Takumar 55mm f/1.8. I wasn't sure how shallow the DOF was going to be at f/1.8 and so I must have taken half a dozen or so shots for insurance.

Glad I did because this was the only keeper with that single "peeping crocus" in focus. Focusing was a real challenge with my K10D but it was worth the effort. I am blown away by the OFF rendering of the other bulbs and leaves. The colours have not been tweaked. Definitely no postprocessing involved.

What a lovely introduction to the world of legacy glasses.

That is what we like about them. Nicely done.
