With the SMC 28mm/3.5. I do use other lenses than the 20mm sometimes (xposted).

You're forgiven.
Very nice shot, too.

Wow, you just made me miss my old Pentax 67 and 645!

It's easy to forget in this digital age how awesome big film at low ISO really was.

Truly awesome work, not everyone can get those results just because they own the equipment.

Thanks so much for sharing, it made me smile!
Eric

Digital Black and White Photography

I was thinking this morning about doing b&w photography with digital cameras. I used to do the b&w thing with film and a home darkroom, but film is very inconvenient these days and by that I also mean finding chemicals and good photography paper. Dave's photo of the pony and sky and Raart's also dramatic photo of the rocks and tree have me thinking about it again. There's a very great difference between a simple monochromatic translation of a scene and a powerful graphic image with a good dynamic range and effective contrast. Maybe it would make a good subject for a new thread if there was enough interest.
Anyway, the 20mm has been momentarily (?) displaced by a newly acquired Zeiss Jena Flektogon 35mm f2.4. (Oh the fickleness of the m42 photographer!) This will be the only picture taken with it in this thread, I think.

Here's my latest guitar purchase taken with my 55mm f2.2 Takumar @ f5.6.

I am always pleased with the results this lens gives, although I feel it is best used on a tripod, as it is not a lens that's easy to focus.
