K100D Super with Takumar F 70~210mm 1:4~5.6 Lens.

1/180s, f/6.7, ISO 200, No flash, used Multi-Segment Metering and taken at 135mm.

Those really show the film-like rendering that the 20mm is capable of. If you'd said that the Buffaloberries shots had been taken on slide film, I would have believed you -- and I mean that as a very sincere compliment.


As a side note, I've been noticing that the shots that other 20mm users have been posting are much sharper than the results I've been getting with my own 20mm for the past few months, particularly in the corners. So a couple of days ago I opened the lens up to see if I could find any problem, and it turned out that the front element group had somehow come unscrewed by a tiny fraction. Just enough that the centre was still almost acceptably sharp, but the corners were horrible. So I tightened everything up, and now it's like I've got a new lens. Definitely something worth checking if anyone else is not entirely happy with the sharpness of their 20mm.
