I picked this up from the post office this morning. I've been on the lookout for a good, reasonably-priced copy of one of these, not because I like 135mm (I don't.) but because I think it's one of the most attractive Takumars made with its two-tone style. This one somehow appeared in my eBay watchlist last week, from Japan and described as excellent+++. Actually, it doesn't look like it's ever been used. It has displaced my current favorite lens (the CZJ Tessar 50 made a few years before this one) on the camera. I hope I can do it justice.
For anyone interested, my cost was just under $80, including EMS shipping and customs charge (Sometimes they bypass customs; sometimes they don't.).

I agree! Have fun taking photos with it - I've got the all black pre-set version and it's a good, surprisingly small, lens to use.

You do good work with those bicycles, Utak. Your photo of the tyre and gears taken with the 55mm f2.2 is imprinted in my memory and set me on the hunt for one. As far as this one being small, after using the CZJ Tessar 50 with a 40.5mm filter thread for the last two or three weeks, it feels huge.

It's my third Tak 135. I have the all-black preset with a 49mm filter thread and the SMC version, but as I said this two-tone design is very attractive. You can try contacting the Japanese lady who sold me this one. She's very nice, ships quickly and charges very fairly. She told me to contact her if I needed anything, but I'm really, really hoping this will do it for me. Her name is Kensaku Yoshino and her email is: ebayteam01+customer@gmail.com. And now for the goods. I don't know if I can get used to the narrow field of view or the long minimum focus distance of this lens, but I'll try to. Leaden skies and dull light today, but the air is clear. I set up the tripod and took these two shots at ISO 100 and f9 and long exposure. Just these two shots. The second picture is a bit darker because when I tried to match the white of the ship's bridge in the first picture, some highlights were blown out and I wasn't interested in spending a lot of time in PP.
