Not a Tak, so shoot me. It's my Tamron 90 Macro DI.

Just felt I had to post re macro. Macro can be either artistic, or really be macro.

I don't know WHAT the hell I'm doing, but when I hear macro mentioned, it should show a ton of detail.

This warm tone could be the result of yellowing from my lens. Taken at Malacca, Christ Church.

Nice indeed ... I should get out with the 50 1.4 a bit more .... is very slightly yellowed ... might have a look at my local camera shop ... he has a plethora of different filters in the right size as well ... will see if i can get my hands on a warming filter (not sure on the correct term) and see how i go with it (will work with most of my Taks as they retain the same filter ring size for the majority of the range.)

What do you want a warming filter for if the yellowing already warms the image?

It's the lightest yellow tinge ... barely noticeable. Not like some I have seen though. But when comparing it to my other Taks though you can see it the discolouration just looking into the elements. Probably not enough to come through the images though.

Shoot with it more out in the sun with no filter. It should clear it up.

Thanks for helping me decide the next item for my LBA list.

Maybe.
Haha, pleasure (or sorry, if the missus is reading over your shoulder). Look at it this way, it's a relatively inexpensive fish-eye if you're buying it for the mythical full frame

Look at this on the 17:

Pentax Takumar 17mm f4.0 Fisheye Screw Mount Lens - eBay (item 360259841596 end time May-12-10 19:03:14 PDT)

The person who bought this has b*lls. Look at the size of that scratch.

And no, I wasn't tempted.

Ouch!!

Was that scratch on the lens itself or on the UV filter?
