Wow!

And exactly how many dollars are you embarrassed to admit too?

I paid $270 with my shipping for my Super 1.9 a little over a month ago, and knew I overpaid. Except now, this seems to be the LOW price for it.

It's getting beyond ridiculous.

Actually you paid about the right price based on the market value of the lens. I got lucky with $200 cdn for a really clean copy of the super 1.9. But I knew it was a good price

I forgot my tripod the other night for the fireworks, so i was taking pics of ppl and such , I managed to get a semi decent handheld shot of my daughter backlit using ISO 12800 , it was almost pitch black outside and manually focussing my 50mm f1.4 was a pain , however, I was wondering which is the better version here

the colour

or the converted B+W one ?

-The color one! I think the color is the thing that makes this photo work. (My opinion.)

Do you mean the green ball with the face?

If so, he's called Oscar The Grouch on the U.S. Sesame Street show.

He's known as "Edgar no Gurochu" in Japan. Oscar is hard for the Japanese to pronounce so they changed it.

Probably not. I suspect the reason is more likely that "Oscar" was already associated with a type of fish....some sort of fancy goldfish, if memory serves.

Don't ask me how Ronald McDonald turned into Donald McDonald in Japan, though. That one remains a mystery to me.

C*rp, I can't even remember the names? Yeah, defininitely Oscar. Thought there was something wrong with the name, but forgot to check. Where did I grab edgar from? I wonder...

The worst is to try to spell the whole name in japanese without stopping, the makudonarudo. At least I can't do it properly.
