Super Takumar 70-150 at f/11 on a K20. I had to remove the tripod mount to use the lens on the K20, as the mount gets hung up on the overhang for the camera's built-in flash. Because the lens is a monster, it was an unbalanced PITA on the tripod. Nice results but not an experiment I'm likely to repeat soon.

Not me! Price was insanely high ($406) for a rusty lens with several cleaning marks and probably infested with fungus! (nice lens though)

For the same price I got two very nice Super Tak 85/f1.9
Find it expensive if you want, but I saw, one year ago, an M37 chrome, sold with fungus and aperture problem, no caps or case, for 240€ on Ebay. This one has no problem according to the seller, so I do not think it is overpriced at all Apart from that, I agree a Super Takumar 85/1.9 is cheaper, but it is not a sonnar lens which uses 49mm filters

Actually, there are S-M-C 85/1.8 lenses going for that so it wasn't bad. I blew my chance on this one.

There's a Super-multi-coated 135 3.5 on there now with a BIN of $35. I really want it, even though I have the Super, but I'm broke.

Did you mean the one at $22 BIN?

That's a different one with a scuff mark. Check again.

Pentax Super Multi Coated Takumar 135mm F3.5 M42 Screw - eBay (item 370411539349 end time Aug-21-10 14:29:40 PDT)

I'm sitting out on this one. Already have the Super version in mint condition with hood for $40 and I have a 135mm f3.5 Angenieux coming in in the next week or two. I'd never use this even if I got it.

I know the super version can be had for $25-40, is the SMC version that much better?

I really like what I've seen from the S-M-C versions. And this a BIN with instant payment required for just $35, and there are other auctions going on that are higher already for the same thing.

It's a deal.

Mike Cash will frown on this and probably kick me out of the Takumar club but you should sell your Super and use the fund to buy the SMC version. You'd be out $5 at most. Don't forget Bing Cash Back for another $2.80 discount.

You know what, I don't care, I have Angenieux now.
