Seconded - the 35/2 is on my list.

The girl with the pink hair and the blue Ferrari are also objects of desire.

I DID!!!
Hey, I'm perfectly capable of doing that even without benefit of alcohol. I'll take a few shots, then . . . D'OH!

Super T 50 1.4

There's something about this subject that I find a little disturbing. I think it's the idea that you're not supposed to feed the wildlife, but it's okay to feed the wildlife if there's a buck to be made.

I also guess that the fact that it's a GUMBALL machine doesn't exactly elicit positive images of Jacques Cousteau doing conservation work.

Do Takumar have wide angle lenses?

How wide?

I've got a 4/17 M42 SMC Takumar Fisheye. Wide enough?

First time posting an image ... here goes:

Here's my first image posted on Pentax Forums.
K-x, Super Tak 55/1.8.

I've been busy building out a family, not much time for photog fun lately!

Thanks for the enthusiasm, Ira!

I'll see if I can find some time for Lightroom work in between the feeding, burping, diapering, soothing, swaddling, bottle-washing and passing-out.

I actually have a b&w conversion of a different photo queued up for tomorrow to make sure this thread doesn't stall out.

Can I just add that I get way more excited to shoot with my taks than I do with my new/modern lenses. Those old lenses make me feel special even when I screw up shot due to focus or exposure.

You are truly a member of The Takumar Club.

Same here--and I screw up plenty.

Hello Ira,

that looks really fine. Is it the "normal" 50/1.4 or the 8-Element Version?

Thanks

Thanks, but all of my 50 1.4s shots in this thread are with the plain, normal, inferior Super Tak--not with extra elements or even Super Multi Coated, which I want to buy as soon as I start working again.

I'm no pro, but see my album for this lens to see what I've been able to do with it.

If I had a few hundred in throwaway bucks right now, I would pick up duplicates of what I already have, plus a Super Multi Coated or two.

I just love these damn 50s for so many reasons.

Time to finally get a shot posted from my SMC Tak 85mm f1.8. My new favorite lens, I rarely leave home without it these days.

My son, enjoying a sunset on the mud flats on the Bay of Fundy in Nova Scotia.
