Hi,
If some one has theTakumar 135~600/6.7 or its later version SMC Pentax, I would require a measurement on it to help me to repair mine. If you can help me, or know some one who could help, please contact me in pm

K-Line container ship Chiangmai Bridge immediately after leaving the K-Line yard at Tokyo's Ooi Wharf. With a big assist from an unidentified harbor tug she was quickly spun around and pointed outbound. Within a few minutes she was gone. Tokyo's landmark Rainbow Bridge can be seen in the background.

Shot while stuck in a long line of trucks along the dock inside the MOL yard waiting our turn to get checked out. I think it isn't too terribly bad, considering the ship was spinning, it was handheld, shutter speed was 1/10, and I was sitting atop a running 16 liter diesel engine.

Porga, I like this a lot. The landscape is very beautiful and moving -- the trees seem to bristle with a hidden energy. It feels almost like you stumbled upon this old field deep in a forest, and it is full of secrets and memories.

Your processing style works very well here.

Yes, I stumbled upon this, you are right. After 15km walk through the woods that was only scene that was worth photographing it. Rest af the walk was just trees, mud and puddles of wather.
Thank you, again.

I wouldn't set out on a 15km hike through the woods specifically to get that shot, Porga. But if I was on the hike anyway and got that shot I would consider that it more than justified the walk. I agree that the processing works very well.

Takumar 200mm F3.5 pre-set

Another Takumar 200mm shot - this time with the Takumar 200mm F3.5 preset lens on the K20D.

This 50 year old lens may not be the sharpest of the bunch, but I like for the colours.

Mike, I saw this picture in your flickr stream a couple days ago and was very impressed by it. It's interesting - the most vibrant color is blue, but the image feels pleasantly warm overall. The reflection, too, is beautiful.

There are two classes of photographies.

1-The technical, in which there are admired the technical virtues of the lens used.

2-The artistic ones, where it appreciates the sensibility of the photographer.

Unfortunately, I fail in both categories.

But I won't stop trying!!!

I want to do nudes of college girls to improve my technique, but my wife won't let me.

The economy is bad. Fifty bucks, and no problem finding models.

And boy, do I have stories to tell YOU!

Remember--I'm 53, and when I was young, a buck was worth TWO bucks!

Well, my 85/1.9 finally arrived! Random crap with it:

Anyone have more difficulty nailing the focus with this lens than the other Takumars?
