The first time I lived in London I had a Kiwi housemate who bought some cowboy boots in Camden. I was too skint to do likewise, and have longed for a pair ever since. As you can imagine, they're a tricky item to find in my part of the world.
Last weekend, while visiting a nearby flea market I paid a visit to a second-hand stall stall where I bought a great knee-length, Italian-made, winter coat last winter for around $50... and low and behold they now sell second-hand boots too.
These ticked all the necessary boxes (brown, not too elaborately patterned with stitching, pointed toes, wooden heel), and most importantly, they fit like a glove. Of course, it's mid-summer here, with daily highs around 30 degrees celcius, so I won't be wearing them much before April or May.
