Hey guys,

I love ghosting on here, I should really begin posting more often. I shoot on 5Dii with 28/3.5, 50/1.4, 85/1.9 and 135/2.5v2 all S-M-C Taks (photography and video). I'll post a short film shot on entirely taks soon enough! And of course some pictures.

I was wondering if people could advise me on the macro side of Taks. I've seen on eBay various 50/f4 S-M-C macro-takumars and wondered on peoples thoughts on this lens. I'm also going to have to begin my research on tubes and whatnot... is this an item Tago Tech I-Store needed for extending lenses and would this be usable with my current lenses as well as macro lenses for super-macro photography? Any advice is appreciated, and I will post some of my photography soon!

B
WOW nice Vid!!!

IMO, extensions tubes are extensions tubes, just as long as they fit your mount and lens...

Notably, this corporate video was shot entirely on the aforementioned Taks and my 5D also using a Ditogear dolly/timelapse slider. Watch in HD
This is one the weirdest advert I have seen. Do they actually drink the Geen Clean in the end. Moreover, we just try to grow some of that moss on our repaired stone wall. I wish for the opposite product actually.

But I just got my Tak 50/1,4. It's like brand new and came with the same looking Spotmatic. What a fun lens!
I like its small size and smooth operation. However it has rather strong yellowing. I used to like warm color. I even used 80A filter on my digital camera. But i may want to reduce some of it on this one.
At the shoot it performed the best as video lens (for bokeh project) but pictures seemed a bit too busy and actually I like my Auto Rikenon 55/1,4 better. Tak seems to have DOF kind of transparent while Rikenon blurs the out of focus more extensively.
I shall add pix in short while.

Great, thanks for the link Rick. And for the video comment!

Anybody able to give me differences/pros and cons on macro-takumar and super-multi-coated macro-takumar of this lens? Links: Asahi Macro-Takumar 1:4/50 | eBay UK and Asahi Pentax 50mm f/4 Macro SMC Takumar M42 Lens | eBay UK

Attached some photos, taken in Barcelona on the ever performing 50/1.4

Mike,

Your finger pressed the button very well for this shot!

I love the rain, the crosswalk, the lady (her lips just barely peeking out from under that umbrella), and the little arrow painted on the street.

Interesting comparison... I used to have both (the Sears Auto Version of the Rikenon). I see busier bokeh in the Rikenon, just like I used to see in my Sears Auto- however, I don't mean that as a knock against the Rikenon- It's a very good lens; it's just busier.

Photos posted recently are all excellent. Great job fellow Takumar-lovers.

These two are both taken with my trusty 85mm f1.9:
