I would describe the SMC colours as "crisper" than the Super Tak colours, but I haven't gone out of my way to shoot them side by side.

These sets might be useful to you. The FA 50mm should be fairly close to the SMC Takumar 50mm f/1.4.

Ira, I am really sorry to hear your year has been like this. And I think I speak for the majority of Takumar club members that we really missed you. I believe you will work things out soon. Take care.

Thanks, guys.

And I think the worst part of my situation is that I lost so much motivation to do anything, including taking shots.

But maybe that's exactly what I need to get my head straight.

Have you considered training for an exciting career as a Logistics Facilitator? (Okay...."truck driver") The hours and the pay suck, but if I gave it up I don't know what the hell I'd do for picture taking opportunities.

Thanks very much. I must confess I was rather pleased with it myself.

I got my K-5 back from warranty repair (front e-dial) today. Unfortunately, I neglected to read the little slip of paper that said they had reset all the settings back to fresh-outta-da-box settings and I started shooting some semi-important shots with it like that. I thought the thing was acting weird.

Hi. Don't let you down. Nothing gonna changed if you go down. Smile, Ira. It seems very stupid, but smile. Give to the life, to yours people the better of you.
Don't let you down.Your sadness will give you only more problems.

The best for you, man. The sun will come out, no doubts.

Repetition and lines.....that's the story of my working life. Same crap over and over again and endless hours of sitting in miles-long lines.

I'm most proud of that photo for managing to shoot so an intervening fence didn't impinge upon the ships (it was a close thing) and that I managed to do it while making a U-turn.
