I would gladly take a "sucky" 105 f2.8 of your hands... or a "sucky" 85mm f1.4 for that matter.

Super-Multi-Coated Takumar 135mm f3.5 (with fungus) on a K20D.
Taken at the Ria Formosa (Algarve - Portugal) it's where they extract the "salt flower".

Haven't posted here in awhile now,
recently ran across a shot I took a few months back and I don't think I've posted here yet but though it deserved to be shown.

I really don't use my takumars enough (or ever) but I'm still waiting a for a couple of them to arrive from the US (not actually mailed). I did get the super tak 35 out for a waterfall hike this weekend. The K24/2.8 took the picture of the big waterfall but the STak 35 was perfect for this one.

Shuangliou Rec Area, Taiwan
This is only a waterfall since a recent typhoon dumped 500-1000mm's of rain in this area.

Colton, Is this shot indicative of the way this lens renders out of focus areas? Very nice indeed. I see them only occasionally for sale but hey I realy need another 50-58mm

From everything I've seen and read, I thing the rendering is typical. Wide open, there is a noticable halo effect (I think it's called halo effect), but it seems to go away when stopped down.

I'm a sucker for the effects old glass produces wide open. I just haven't been exposed to this little gem before. You have to chose your subjects carefully (Like you did in that wonderful shot) But the results are something I really like.

Thanx for the feedback !

I hate it when people post beautiful photos from the 150mm (or the 120mm), as I always kick myself for the times I didn't buy one.

It's not too late to buy one now, Mike. I see many of them on eBay, they are rarer than the rest but still widely availble. Prices have gone up for sure.

josQ: Those are beautiful portraits. It seems like a great lens. However, the model definetly helps make those a great photo.
