I do love my s. Tak 35/3.5. And I have been imprest by s.tak 28/3.5 too, but both of them are sharp after stopping them down. I have been nicelly surpriced by both of them when we talk aboult color and rendering, 28 even more so. After f5.6 it is good... But s.tak 105 is one of my best lenses. (don't have so many after all

Here one shot by s.tak 105/2.8 target is easilly seen(Xposted)

Mike, Were you running low on memory card space ? Still a nicely composed shot though !

Not low at all. I was just doing b/w jpgs for a few days. Turns out it was a bad idea.

Pentacora, I love the sword fight. What a fearsome little opponent.

I'm not sure how the K5 works but on my Kx I set it to record RAW and Jpeg then set the jpeg to BW. That way I still have the raw file in color if needed. But it fill up cards faster

You can do the same on the K-5, but it has always struck me as pointless. I always pp files, so have no use for a color jpg in addition to the raw file. And can pretty much always get a better b/w conversion from raw than what I'd get shooting b/w jpgs.

I had a few good results shooting this way on the K20D, but I'll not be repeating the exercise again on the K-5.

+1. Super shot and the stand out image of the series.

Sea star

Now to share a picture I like. Back in June I visited Monterey CA and went to the beach. I captured the attached picture of a sea star: K100DS+Super Tak 55/2, ISO200, 1/60. That lens is lovely to use, and a good length for my style.

Not sure what the tree is - mature Coral tree (Erythrina Variegata) I think in its deciduous phase. this tree flowers every year at this time - late dry season - and is a spot of colour in a very dry landscape.

Image taken from ground at a lens to subject distance of about 8 metres - monopod used.

You have a knack for pulling off one of the hardest tasks in photography: creating compelling photos of other people's pets (as seen from our viewpoint, that is).

My Tomatos

This is the 1.8/55mm Super Tak. Been too busy lately to PP any of my photos for some time now. Finally spent some time last night.
