looks like I have competition on that NZ auction site - I saw that large collection of Takumars go on sale but freight to me would have doubled the price - did you see the final price on the K 200 2.5 - not a bargain...
Isn't Takumar collection great!
Look forward to seeing more of your NZ images as I am one of those thousands of NZers now settled in Australia.

Hi there Arjay Bee nice to meet you,No sorry i didn't see how much the K 200 2.5 went for,but i see some guy selling some more tak's on Trade Me at the moment hmmm 1:1.9/85mm for $550 reserve i kinda think he's dreaming on that start price.Love the Takumars they feel great built to last heck they have lasted this long they will last alot longer too and cheap compare to the plastic lenses you get these days.I'm using mine on my Canon eos 1100d with the adaptors but have seen some yummie Pentax DSLR's on there,the White ones look really nice abit different from the normal black.

here are 2 shots 1 taken with a 200MM super tak on my KX, the other with a super tak and TWO 2 vivitar teleconverters ( equivalent fov of 1200mm!) The regular shot was f8 , the 1200mm was 5.6

Stash: Congratulations, these are superb photos. This is what photography is about, not only the technical aspect of it, but the messaging and the feeling it conveys. What I get from looking at your photos (apart from you hugging those nicest lenses) is: what a beautiful family, how much love is shared among the members, how beautiful the weather was. Welcome to the club! My SMC Tak 55/1.8 is also on its way (attached to a Spotmatic SPII). My first Tak (and probably not the last)
