SMC Takumar 85/1.8, not sure about the aperture though.

Dinner tonight was beautiful! STak 55/1.8 at 1.8 and1/8sec. I recently acquired this as a replacement for my STak 55/2, which now I will offer for sale, when I get around to it. This lens looks to be in nicer condition than the other. The 55/2 was the first STak I bought, really cheap, just to learn how to use them. I was so impressed I kept collecting, and now I have a sample of most focal lengths.

See if anyone recognises the food I like. Just served in the kitchen at home, and photographed before everyone started to eat - so I had to hurry.

I find it hard to photograph food. Do any of you know of a thread on the forum about food photography. I would like to add that skill to my bag.

You are both qualified correct - it is a kind of tofu - it is the Taiwanese smelly tofu, deep fried, served with the red, very mild, chili (I think) sauce. It is also serve with pickled cabbage, in vinegar but only for a short time, it is still quite crunchy.

These days smelly tofu is not very smelly. S0metimes in the night market one gets a whiff of a whole cheese shop. But when I first came here it smelled more like something which had come out of a person. This is the most common way it is cooked, but I have had it cooked at least two other ways - boiled and steamed. Those are for poncey establishments which serve on plates, not in a plastic bag for takeaway. There is even a fast food chain here that only serves this stuff, cooked in a range of ways with different sides.
