Gustenlehe, I have been enjoying your architectural photos with the 28 3.5 but especially like the dead plant material with the soft but interesting background.

It's a favorite and I think a very flexible focal length...

Unartist;
I thought the last set to be very interesting. I am curious as to what the article in "Rope" is. Can you tell a little more about where, what, and When?

Takumar 58 2.0 preset

I have been waiting for Spring to work with this lens. I liked the images I saw last fall using it on the NEX-5n. The out of focus portions generated by this lens really capture my interest.
These are at f2 or onehalf stop wider. The Av mode on the NEX-5n seems to accept wide open readily and exposes quite nicely.
These were taken with a Pentax K20D in Av but I found I was modifying exposure by as much as two full stops. Even then the images were pretty dark. I shot jpeg only. I suppose it is time to use RAW.
Alternately, I found live view exposed nicely. Controlling focus with narrow dof hand held was a problem when the image disappears for the double shutter action. Tripod pending.

Thanks for the when and the where. I am still confused as to the what. Guessing that it is something practical but for all I know it is a piece of sculptural art. any ideas?

Well done; a good picture and testament to the old glass quality.

Spotmatic

After shooting with an adapteron a *ist DL and a K1000 for years, I finally broke down and bought my first Spotmatic. It's such a nice camera, especially after I sent it off to Eric to have it repaired. He did a great job restoring the camera to functionality, and I'm super stoked to be working on putting my first roll of film through it. Sorry to bomb the thread, but I just needed to share with someone how cool it is to be using such a quality old camera!

You won't regret it. They are beautifully made. I have the range from SP1000, SP, SP11, SP'F', and ES11. Lovely to hold.
