"Skinned knees and tiara" that defines my great-granddaughter. She and my granddaughter hard at play in the sandbox.

Just adding two shots here, until I do new ones.
The others I've already posted in the lens thread, so I won't repeat them here again.

I've been following this thread with keen interest for a long time. I was finally inspired to get and use a Tak (55 1.8) today.

Here are few of the people I saw today.

It's always a good idea to have a camera with one. Otherwise, for instance, one might miss people taking the pigs for a walk of an evening.

Stunning photos Chex!!! What adapter do you use? I don't see any drop in IQ due to an adapter. The tak 28mm 3.5 is one of my favorite lens.
Some cheap $7 fleabay item.. the soft corners are VERY noticeable on the heavy processed shot of her out front of the car.. the loss of detail around the picnic basket is hard to take.. and I was at f8... the lens is far better than that so I'm assuming the adapter had a little hand in this.. But my Tak can go back on my PK adapter and hang out for use on my old Super Program again.. my Tamron 24-70 f2.8 VC/USD has been ordered.. let the VISA bleed..

Try using a bower adapter. Once I use it I threw away the fleabay ones. It's more expensive but it's worth it in my opinion. Give one a shot.

Takumar 105mm f/2.8.

Not liking the compression from Photobucket.......Flickr was better, but I've left them.
Maybe try someone else next time.

SMC Takumar 50mm f1.4

My dad's old SMC Takumar 50mm f1.4, late model with rubber ring, getting some new life with my new K-01. I had to de-yellow this lens a few months ago. I let it sit up against a black-light, the fluorescent type, for about 8 days. That cleared it up all the way.

I own the Pentax-M 50mm f1.4, the M f1.7, and the Pentax-A f1.7. There is clearly something to the aura or quality of the images with the Tak. Maybe it's the radioactive glass, I don't know, but the bokeh is magical, and the 3D factor is immense. It's a special 50 for sure...

Here are a few shots with the SMC Tak 50...

The close-up of the green door is a crop of the bigger view to show the killer detail this lens has.

I know what you mean. I have a bunch of nice 50s from F 50 1.7 to several M 50s to a really nice Vivitar 55 macro...but there is something special about my SMC 50 1.4 Tak. The pictures it captures just make you think...that shot was taken with a quality piece of glass.

There's also something very appealing about the rendering and colors produced by early Takumars, pre-super-multi-coating.

Here's a photo taken with the very cute pre-set Takumar 135mm 3.5. Its only scaffolding but....
