Pentax K7 with Super-Takumar 6X7 4/200

Hi guys, here is one taken in springtime on a rainy day at one of my favorite local (Copenhagen) places, an old crabapple avenue. A lot of light magic in the Super-Takumars 6X7s.

The rig looks like this:

Ha, ha! Good one - I had to look at it for about 30 seconds, then I got it.

Here is one cross-posted from the bokeh thread:

Surprise, surprise, the mailman delivered my SMC Tak 200mm f/4 today and it is in pristine condition – and it cost me only 45$ shipped :-)

As I had a shooting with a model scheduled anyway today, I took the Tak with me and did a few test pictures on a CANON 60D with a chipped adapter (so it’s 320mm equiv.)

Correct EXIF data is included (on Flickr, here it's obviously stripped), thanks to the two great tools ExifTool and ExifMixer, very handy. If you’d like to have my ExifMixer configuration file with lots of Taks included, drop me a line...

Here we go, SMC Takumar 200mm f/4, all wide open, straight OOC no PP except resize:

...and of course a few of my model :-)

I have to say this old glass gave the 3 other lenses I shot with today – the EF 85mm f/1.8 & EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro as well as the Pentacon 135mm f/2.8 – a real run for the money, plain awesome lens, wide open sharp enough and perfect for portraits! I’m hooked on those Taks – thanks to you guys and gals :-)

cheers and have a great Sunday

mike

Those old preset macro taks can get some funky bokeh happening due to the unusual star shape the aperture blades make.

Super-tak 75mm-150mm

Hi All,

I thought I'd share a photo I took this weekend with my ebay special. A super tak 75-150mm zoom lens I just picked up. For $55 bucks including shipping I thought it was a pretty good deal. I've also got three other Super taks that I've been using to teach myself manual photography with my new k-50. I love the sharpness and clarity on the super-taks. Unbelievable!

P.S. Love this thread. Keep shooting and sharing.

The definition of "Takumar" seems to be getting pretty broad...
