You know, come to think of it, I've only ever used my 50 1.4 for dog pictures. This was at f/2.
good one

Finally had the time and weather to try out the gorgeous pre-set Takumar 135/3.5 on a K-3. It handles the extra power with ease! Plus using the pre-set controls to see different bokeh styles is so easy.

I brought the Super-Takumar 35/2 on the K-01 last friday for some low light shooting. I have the first 67mm thread version. It is not very sharp at f/2 but with a bit of post it is acceptable. Flare is pretty random but can be fun for this kind of pictures

The man is me and that's flare control from the 1960's There are bright lights in the bar from the right, reflecting. I have the genuine hood but it is very large and I don't think that it would be very helpful on APS-C.

Fast lenses weren't created to be tack sharp wide open at the time. A little bit of softness was wanted.

To me, it's pretty good, there is a lot of fine details, like hair, or the embrodery (i don't knwo if it's the right word, i mean the detail in the white jacket).

I have that lens with the big 67 mm filter size, and I use it as my go-to normal lens on APS-C. I've no hood for it, and it does flare. I've never seen it flare in exactly that way, but I don't necessarily think there's anything wrong with your particular example. I suspect any type of flare is possible with that big front glass. For that reason I've considered getting the S-M-C 35/2 version with a smaller front element, or even a 35/3.5 (for uses where speed is less necessary) as I expect it should flare even less, and it is lighter. But I'm delaying all such buys until I decide whether to get an a7; full-frame changes everything!

First one is a darn nice shot! That's a great lens, it has such a long focusing throw that sometimes getting the focus just right is difficult, but you nailed that one!
