So I got a new watch and it was a good opportunity to use the S-M-C MACRO TAKUMAR 50/4 Not to blame the lens, but a lot of details showed up that I hadn't seen with the naked eye. The watch is a Orient Millenium (japanese automatic watch).

That's a really good capture ... hand held and what did you do for the lighting ... just curious, J

Lighting is pretty big window to the right, and a glass door behind (a little less bright). It was cloudy outside. To be able to shoot at lowest ISO and at F8 (for larger DoF and higher sharpness), I had to shoot with a tripod. Shutter speed was 1/4 s

Here's my Auto-Takumar 55/1.8 Zebra lens with a K-3. Its an interesting combination, producing sharp portraits (of people not just flowers!) with a lovely "glow" and unusual bokeh wide open, highlighted below by darkening the background a bit and increasing colour saturation. The later Super/SMC Takumars seem to have smoother bokeh and less glow, with more vibrant colours. The 10-bladed Auto-Takumars (1.8, 2 and 2.2) are more "artistic", but also need more post-processing in my experience, if you like contrasty images.

Great capture, utak ... and the zebra looks "too cool" on your new K-3 ... I gotta get my ten blade Taks out and ready for the upcoming Spring season ... today's drizzle and nasty winds are not too nice for going outside. J

Very nice. I like the middle one.

The first had a stick in the foreground that put me off (too much like what I get) and the last did not quite excite me. But the middle one is good.

I noticed, that lens does seem quite sought after. I wonder why they backed off to making an f4 (I have the SMC version of that) as the 200 they made after the discontinuation of the 200/3.5 preset. (The 200/5.6 also disappeared at the same time.)

Super-Takumar 35 3.5

I finally processed these taken in early February. I can't believe how sharp this lens is. It does flare in a dramatic way when the sun is almost in shot:

Auto-Takumar 55 1.8

Here are some snow drops in situ. We were surprised in the BC Lower Mainland by a few days of snow.
