Very nice one, Zewrak. I find it all the more interesting since I just won the same lens at auction last night. With any luck I should have it by Thursday or Friday. I've had the hots for a Takumar 85...any variant...for a while now.
Was that you who won the 85 on Yahoo? I was watching it like a hawk...there's two more still for sale.

If you refer to this one, then I am the guy. If it had gone much higher I probably would have dropped out. I think my maximum bid was in for something like 2500 yen more than it went for.

I'm also expecting a Lens Baby 2.0 from the manufacturer in the US They were on sale and even with shipping were cheaper than buying from Yodobashi with free shipping. Anyway, Yodobashi doesn't stock the Lens Baby in M42 mount, which is what I wanted.

My wife won't kill me, but I may get maimed.

I've shown so many photos from that 105/2.8 that I thought I may as well let the lens take a bow. Shown here with her friend, the Spotmatic ESII.

I have a LensBaby 2.0 in K mount but I didn't know they came in M42 mount. Interesting.

That low with only 4 hours left....gotta read the lens description carefully. I expected to find mention of fungus, but....

◆≪レンズ内外≫◆
大変残念ですが「前玉のみ」に数点の点々とした極少疵が見られます.
中心に一点、其の周囲に針先状で数点観られます。

In short: The front element has "several" fine scratches on it. There's one in the center and "several" surrounding that.

He lists all the positive qualities of the lens, which seems otherwise to be in great shape and has been kept in a humidity control cabinet. But for me the scratches make it an "Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the show?" proposition.

Yeah, I got that impression. There's another one going for 30,000 yen which has been there for a few weeks now. But 30,000...a little expensive.

There's a 17mm with an opening price of 37,500 up right now. It has rolled over at least once that I know of (restart due to no bids).

Unfortunately, on Yahoo Japan Auctions sellers who will ship outside Japan are extremely rare.

OK Cash. That's it. You have been warned repeatedly about posting these reallllly good shots you allegedly take with Takumar lenses.

The Takumar Protection Society has retained Guido (The Snake) Mozzarella to further counsel you about the error of your ways. Guido wanted us to issue a "Four Broken Fingers" contract, but we assured Guido that if he would just speak with you in person that perhaps you would understand. Guido said he would do that, and explain to you that "This is business, not personal". You will be easily able to recognize Guido: just think of Lucca Brazzi's (The Godfather) younger brother.

Maybe in the future you could say it was a Sears lens, or a Vivitar. Say that the lens is a Zeiss Distagon T* 2.8/25 for all we care. But NO MORE touting Takumars. Got it. BTW, over the weekend I bought a 28/3.5, a 35/2.0, and a 200/4.0: all Super-Taks. While you are not totally responsible for my compulsive behavior, you certainly share in the responsibility. Isn't that just like lensaholics? Always bleming others.

Taking about lensaholics. I just spent way too much on a 35 year old lens. Call me crazy but it was getting the SMC Takumar 85mm 1.8 over the 77 limited. I've been jonesing for this lens for too long. Found one in mint condition! Now I just have to wait on the shipping.

You didn't buy the one from Buenos Aires, Capital Federal, Argentina, did you? I couldn't believe the price.
OK, now that you NO LONGER need your Super Tak 85 f/1.9, I'll give you $25.00 plus shipping.

I do not need a Super Tak 85.
I do not need a Super Tak 85.
Deep breath.
