You sir have a talent and skill most of us could only wish for. Bravo!
Thanks.

And what I forgot to say:
I trust blindly on the focus indicator (red or green and the "beep") of the camera.

Preset Macro Takumar 50mm f4

A couple of pictures taken this morning. I noticed the flower two days ago but the light wasn't good, so I decided to return the next morning to photograph it. Unfortunately (for me), it rained all day yesterday, and when I went out this morning the flower was past its prime. Nevertheless, the picture shows the lens' capability. Taken at f5.6 in a gusty wind. The second picture shows the lens' ability when photographing a landscape at infinity. Taken at f11. This is one of my favorite lenses as I think I mentioned in this blog before.

Oregon Iris Festival.

We had a great time at the Annual Oregon Iris Festival. Among all of the Iris flowers, there was this cluster right in the middle of the action. I really enjoy using my K100D Super camera matched up with my all time favorite lens: Takumar F 70~210mm 1:4~5.6 which really is sharp all the way through. I hope everyone enjoys and thanks very much for viewing.

Oregon Iris Festival.

This one is just about my favorite of all the Irises I photographed. These flowers certainly provide a beautiful, colorful and interesting viewing experience. However, I do believe they are just about the oddest shaped of all the flowers I know of. Hopefully everyone will enjoy and thanks so much for viewing. This photograph was also taken with the Takumar F 70~210mm 1;4~5.6 Lens.

Ciao,

Antonio

Thanks.

Here is another example from this lens.
I limited size of the picture as I plan to print this one and I might print the first one as well but still need to decide if I should crop the bottom part or PP more (same part of the image and get rid of it).

Here it is again Pentax K-3 with 28mm ƒ3.5 at F8 w/ND 3.0 (10-stop) filter.

Fantastic pictures, both of them.

If I can have shot a picture like yours, I will ban myself from selling any Takumar lenses. I have a different version of of your 28mm titled as Super-Multi-Coated Takumar 28mm f/3.5. And I have shamefully placed them in marketplace. I just happen not to use my Takumars frequently in 28, 35, 50 macro, 55 and 105. And I have placed all of them in marketplace. The 35 is already gone. I wish I can come up with excuses and most importantly the right storage space to keep them. They do look gorgeous. I especially like the Manual Focusing experience.

As long as I have Pentax branded camera I will not sell my Takumar lenses. I liked them really and also as I cannot afford anything more currently I have to work with what I have. I hope that situation will get better in year or so. Took some very hard hits in the last two years but survived.

Do not have too many but I do have Super-Takumar 28mm 3.5/ 35mm 3.5/ 50mm 1.4 7-Element/ 50mm 1.4 8-Element/ 55mm 2.0/ 135mm 3.5/ and like all of them!
Like to have 24mm 3.5, 200mm 3.5 and maybe one of the 85's mm and 135mm 2.5. The 15mm F3.5 is the one I really like to have but too expensive unless I get it somewhere for dirt cheap.

Anyway good luck with sale!

Here is one old picture also taken with 28mm Super-Tak...

Very nice! You should consider adding the Super Tak 105/2.8 to your stable - it's a wonderful lens:
