Thank you for your concern, actually where I live came off very lightly, I'm on the west (Atlantic) coast of Kerry and we usually get hammered but what was left of the eye passed up along the west coast and it seems that areas further away from the eye got more of a pasting particularly along the east coast side.

It looks like this new storm due Friday/Saturday could hit us more as its coming from the usual direction and there will be a very high tide, living on the west coast you kind of get used to them, we design for wind speeds of 51m/sec whereas over on the other side, say around Dublin, its 44m/sec, the roofing manual calls for all sorts of fancy nailing patterns for roof tiles, like nail one miss two nail one etc, we just nail everything and it stays put, well hopefully it does anyway.

You and your taks should get out of your basement more often.

Great Staple Tor reflected in the pony pond, with a couple of walkers on top of the rock stacks for scale. Super Takumar 55mm/2.0.

Macro-Takumar 50mm f4 (Preset) on the K-1. Three rather colorful, and one not so much.

Dave, that is a superb, spectacular, fantastic reflection image. And with a couple of humans for scale which really adds to the story. A great example of what the Super-Tak 55mm f2.0 can do. TFS. That is one of your best.

Thanks Ray. That one was shot with all six megapixels of the *ist DL2, which is a little camera that I've been having a lot of fun with since I picked one up for a giveaway price a few weeks ago (£45).

But today I finally got around to shooting some straight head-to-head shots with the *ist vs the K-S1 to decide which one I'll be carrying as my second camera long-term, and to my surprise I preferred the results from the K-S1. So the *ist will be living in the car from now on, which is what I'd originally planned for it anyway, for those times when I'm driving along and see something that makes me wish I had a camera with me. And the K-S1 will be going in the bag as backup to the GX-10.

It looks like the arch CMOS hater might have finally started to succumb.
