Now that I am considering finally getting the K-1, I wonder if I should dedicate one of my older camera bodies (K-x, K20D, K-5) for M42 (I think I have at least the 50/4 preset Macro-Takumar, the 28/3.5 Takumar and the 50/1.4 Takumar).
Interesting comments and questions. I have set aside an otherwise almost unused Pentax K-20 for all my Takumar lenses. This camera also has a split-prism focussing screen, which is convenient since the Taks lack auto-focussing. It is faster and more convenient, though not necessary, to use a separate camera to avoid changing out the adapter every time I want to use one of these lenses.
