Very nice. I also have a copy of the 8 element version of that lens. It was my first Super-Tak.
Thanks ... I recently acquired this lens and will be proving it for a while ... I won't be disappointed !!

Nice photos posted; I notice the hair thin depth of field: you must have been wide open.

Not completely wide open in those ones, maybe f 2.8 ... but f1.4 on this one:

Thanks for your comment !

Too much work in the summer, but I managed to attach an extension ring to the S-M-C 35mm f/2 and shoot one.

Wonderful photos, Jean. They almost make me want a K-1, just to use the 17mm on it. Except that when I tried the 17mm at full frame on a Spotmatic, the field of view was so wide that I got dizzy and fell over. So maybe I'm safer just using it on APS-C.

This time the ring was attached to an early sixties´ Auto Takumar 55mm f/2.2. A silver beauty.

There was a major rock fall from the side of The Skillion at Terrigal last Thursday 12 July. This is a very popular tourist attraction in the area. I went down there last Monday to record the aftermath.

Super-Takumar 24mm f3.5 at 24mm on a Canon full frame EOS-1Ds.

Super-Takumar 50mm f1.4 (7 element version) on the same camera.

Super-Takumar 28mm f3.5 (49mm filter version) on K-3.

This event was actually recorded by somebody who just hapened to be there making a video at the time. It was featured on on of our local TV stations: NBN News | ONLOOKERS FORCED TO JUMP CLEAR OF FALLING ROCKS
Scroll down to see the video.
