I generally try to post up one image at a time, so that one doesn't distract from the next. But... since the lens and the subject matter were the same, here goes nothin':

All three taken with an 8-element Super-Takumar 50/1.4 on an Olympus Pen-F.

The first was the lens alone @ f5.6. The next three were with a Takumar extension tube (#2). The second is a pretty tight crop at f4.0. The third is at f1.4 (with the expected "dreamy" appearance, the fourth at f2.8.

Hope you like 'em.

Northbound 76, the Piedmont, is running 40 minutes late as it passes through Jamestown NC the afternoon of March 20th, 2020. Prior to the Covid-19 outbreak, the consist was usually four cars, but recently it has been reduced to three. SMC Takumar 55mm f/2.

I checked one of those in my check-in baggage at Toronto airport a few years ago. They scan the bags in front of you there. The X-ray operator asked me if I had a lens in my case. You words and image reminded me of that association for me.

That's very efficient work.

I always was woried about film... but they did not care. Nothing has happened to me w film going through x-ray at airports as of yet.

On a different thread, I offered @paulh a squirrel for a palm tree based on our simultaneously-posted shots... work in progress...

Luckly for me the squirrels actually use the power lines to go from tree to tree (nest to nest) in front of my home. They at least do not try to bite into it.

Great shot with an interesting composition - also good to see a portrait of an interesting (non-steam) train.

Thanks also for the comments relating to current events.

Thanks johnha.

It is quite a special lens, new-to-me but with a spot in my bag over any other 200mm I have (all film-era lenses). When it can be stopped down, even hand-held produces awesome spot-on results.

I want to put a bird feeder in my small backyard to see if I can get a few decent bird shots with it.
