Yes, the Super Fat Takumar 35/2 is prone to flare easily. So avoid the sun in the frame if the effect is not wanted.. or any direct light source in fact .

That's lovely.

Do the m37 Taks count? I picked up the old 58mm f/2.4 a short while ago, mainly for shooting film, but I've mainly been using it on the KP so far. It's fun to use a fully-manual preset lens, and I felt like I needed a slow 58mm to complement my 50mm f/1.7, rather than just get a 55mm or 50mm f/1.4, and having so many aperture blades at this price point is pretty much impossible for any lenses from the 60's ad beyond, so the smoothness of the bokeh will probably stay unmatched in my collection. Here's two shots of one of my cats, Tiger.

In my mind, any and every Takumar counts. My first 55/2.2 Takumar preset came with an attached Pentax first model that I used until the late '70s when the curtains wore out. I even shot high school sports with it and a Takumar 135/3.5 preset.

Sometimes I wonder about C/N fans and their emphasis on super high speed AF. In my scrapbook I have a broadsheet sports section front page with two verticals from a middle school regional sports meet, Broad jumper face on taken lying on my belly and the highest scoring athlete breaking tape on the track. I was using a KX and 135/3.5 M lens on supplied 400ASA TriX. My last photo post a couple of days ago was K-3 and M 400/5.6 in miserable light (1/60 @ f/8, ISO 800). Get the diopter set right using the O-ME53 and careful turning still works.

Hello,

I am slowly coming back to photo forums after some years break.

For those that like to see beautiful lenses... Taken with Macro Takumar 50/4 on my dusty 5D.

The black and chrome finish ones (35/2.3, 35/4, 58/2, 83/1.9, 100/3.5) :

The rare wides, David and Goliath (15/3.5 & 18/11) :

Some uncommon lens caps (Okay, the Honeywell is rather common) :

Yes I also have a full plastic AoCo cap. I do not remember which lens it came with, and also do not know what its original lens is.

Takumar 200mm/3.5. Cardinal at f11.

I’ve been trying to get a feel for this lens...finally got a decent shot by closing down the aperture. (So much fringing!) Sure miss split prism when manual focusing
Lovely photo of a cardinal. Well done!
