utak, your K is within under 200 serial numbers of my copy. I wish mine looked that good! Mine works but Eric Hendrickson said he wouldn’t go over it because someone else had “generously” lubed it. Luckily, Eric said he was able to set the shutter except 1/1000 which is a bit slow. I bought a second K off eBay and sent it to Eric too. Unrepairable due to shutter damage. I lost $125 selling that one as a placeholder.

I have only seen that manual in b&w until now. Glad you shared. They had a few colors in that vintage style. A mustard, a red leaning to puce, a darker green, and a deeper blue with some green like the reverse of your instruction manual, light green with some blue.
I wonder if they were product specific.

Anyway that composition is almost dictated if you want the serial number prominent and show the instructions.

Nice to see the photo taken with the lens. I think i will do that.

The black and white shot is very effective. Good composition, light and conversion processing, Paul.

Sorry to hear about this. It's always a risk buying these old cameras off the web.

Yes, mine is green with some blue, but to be honest it's a darker green than it looks in the photo - it was a quick pre-work snap on the kitchen table (with some printer paper) and the camera was a bit dark so I had to lighten it all up.

BTW, your rare early Takumar 55/2.2 is a very interesting lens. Thanks for sharing a photo of it/from it. I'd love to compare it with the different, later Auto-Takumar 55/2.2, which is a fine lens. The Auto-Tak produced this Explored photo on Flickr, and a good number of views/faves - great to see people looking at Takumar photos!

Super-Multi-Coated Takumar 135mm f/3.5.
Loving the output of this lens for the test shots I've taken. Can't wait to give it a proper run out.

Thank you! I have just started using these old M42 lenses...and I agree. The colors are great. And it has been a joy to discover what this 200mm/3.5 can produce.

Nice set! Love the pooch with the 135mm.
It might just be me, but I think #3 would look better in a B&W conversion, to add focus to the texture of the trunk and remove the distraction of the color maybe? Just a thought.
