This shot reminded me to check if the Segovia balloon festival was going ahead this year and apparently it's not. It's a shame but makes sense.

Part of me is relieved though not to have those early mornings to get up at 6.30 to get the good shots.

Here's an image of comet Neowise over the Hoeksmeer, small lake close to where I live. It took a fair bit of waiting before the cloud finally moved over, but the view was maginificent. Taken with my super takumar 28/3.5

To help conserve the nation's dwindling yeast stocks, I have been baking mostly sourdough lately. This is 50/50 whole wheat/bread flour with a tablespoon of flax seed meal. SMC Takumar 55mm f/2.

Loving it so far, Andrew. I also own an older version 58mm Super Tak 28/3.5, which has that amazing Takumar handling and precision focus. My early thoughts are that the S-M-C version renders a bit better, and while very nice, doesn't quite match the older Taks' tactile feel. Love them both!
