Taken from my living room window. 30 second exposure, Super Takumar 35mm f/.3.5. Motion blur in the trees, the wind is howling tonight.

A versatile lens. It's a great focal length for APS-c, and of course we're only using the sweet spot center of the lens on the crop sensor. The close focusing comes in handy, too. The only drawback I see is wavy distortion, but that matters for architectural pictures and not at all for flower shots. Some people might wish it opened up a bit wider for bokeh effects. The best thing is that it has the Takumar colors. Super Takumar 35mm f/3.5.

I don't use my Super Takumar 150mm f/4 often, but it is fun to take it out now and then.

Back to my favorite, SMC Takumar 55mm f/2. Looking out over the Yadkin River valley form atop Pilot Mountain.
