The Takumar 35mm f4 seems a very desirable lens, with nice rendering and made in a very small quantity. I only became aware of it a couple weeks ago or so when I saw a YouTube video comparing the different 35mm Taks. It's a little pricey on eBay, about $400 I seem to remember and there was only one available. I'm waiting on delivery of a very clean auto-Takumar 35 f3.5, the uncoated 35 that succeeded it and replaced it in the catalog, and hoping it will have a lot of the same quality. I had one and had just put it on my Sony a850 to test when it and the a850, an a7, an a65, a Lumix and some lenses were stolen in January by a woman using scopolamine. I just replaced the a850 with a surprisingly pristine copy from South Korea, a great find for me since it was discontinued about twelve years ago. If anyone is interested, I've been testing the camera by taking photos in the village at night hand-held at f4 and with ISO set to auto and anti-shake on. So far, I've tested four lenses, three of them Taks. They can be seen here:
