This last post was truly emotional rollercoaster!!! First we got this advice, how to increase the pleasure of girl-watching. (When I think right about it, I am lowering my standards for more than 40 years now. But wait, isn't that misogynic? There are women in the club, at least one? Perhaps we should open an "misogynic expression" account somewhere and buy flowers once in a while )

Afterwards we saw those sad pictures of this painfully dying ape...

Here are some "neutral" pics taken with my new crown jewel:

K100d Super-Takumar 105/2,8

The last picture is 100% crop. I think the resolution of the lens is limited by the sensor here.

I love that Tak 55 f1.8, yet it seems to be the cheapest Tak on eBay, something I'm missing here?

the Tak 55/1.8 truly is a great lens.
It must be that cheap for two reasons:
- many available
- people are not attracted to f1.8 but want a faster 50mm

something similar must be true for the 35mm f3.5, a fabulous lens but relatively chaep

Another one is the auto-tak 35mm f3.5. It is one of the smallest lens from Asahi. The regular super tak 35mm f3.5 look big next to it.

Such a nice pic... both the girl and the flower is in focus but they don't detract from each other

oh, how do the two compare IQ wise? do you have sample pics taken with the Auto Tak?

ever since I tried out a Auto Tak 55/2 I badly want one and started to hunt Auto Taks, there are two nice copies of 55/2 on the bay now but both in the US and both won't send internationally

I have some on unscanned negatives. I'll try to take an image the color card over the weekend. They both have a 4-5 optical formula and the difference would be in the coating. On B&W, I can't tell any difference.

Edit: I originally got the auto-tak 35 to go with my H3 and now the K.

Here is another perspective:

wow, really small! The Super Tak already is so small.
I found the Auto Tak 55/2 to have somewhat subdued, darkish looking colors, which I liked a lot!

Well look at what comes in the mail today...

Fell in love with 105mm FOV. Sooo much easier to use in town than the 135mm on APS-C

135mm on film is quite nice though I guess I can't get rid of it just yet... I feel like I should complete the takumars now that I have so many

Haven't tried the 24mm yet... it looks brand spanking new other than the faded "super" label

Nice! I keep waffling on the auto-Tak or the s-m-c Tak version of the 105mm. Some day I'll get one.
