These were two of my three cats before I moved to Japan.

Pentax ESII, S-M-C Takumar 35mm f2? Can't remember, too long ago.

A little project I knocked out this morning for my wife with a Super Multi-Coated 300mm f4 Tak on my K200D. I just used Piacsa to build the collage.

Super Takumar 28/3.5. This is the early 58mm filter version. The sky was over exposed so I've desaturated it and the rest of the background in post processing.

Prehistorical purse? Did you find a lipstick in it?

WOOOOW Nesster, Deadwolfbones, I love those pics with zillions of tonal values, wish I could do that, too!!

I finally received my 150/4 two days ago:

K100d Super, Super-Takumar 150/4

I should have been more clear. I was referring to the photo of the security camera. I knew what the subject in my photo was immediately.

It's a pair of "waraji", which are very old-fashioned sandals woven from some sort of grass. They used to be standard footwear a very long time ago, but these days the only time you'll see them is hanging on the gates of some Buddhist temples. Folks making a pilgrimage around a series of temples will sometimes hang them there to commemorate having made that stop. Back in the olden days people would have actually worn them around on their pilgrimage and purchased or made new to replace the ones they wore out on the way.
