Great shots, Mel!
Thanks Heartcat for the cc

I guess my preference is for SMC Taks... I am thinking about going with an all Takumar kit. I'll keep the kit lens for wider shots, though, because I don't expect to be able to afford a wide Tak. I recently sold my DA40 ltd - it was hard to part with, but I used the money to buy my wife a gift for our anniversary, so no regrets! I'm in no hurry for the new kit, (as long as my LBA is in check) so hopefully I can wait for a good deal or two.
This thread is an inspiration!

I was pleasantly surprised with it myself, considering that it is from-the-camera JPG shot in B/W mode.

No, he meant to ask if you have the 5- or 6 element version of the lens, the product number engraved on the A/M switch determines this.

Hello Asahiflex,

thanks for the info. I am really happy with this lense, the performance is absolutely brillant. As the pic shows it is sharp right from fully opened. Very nice colours and a great bouquet.

Michele, I agree! I have the same lens and it is easily one of my best 135mm lenses.

Asashiflex. That number tells the 5 vs 6 element but what's the other number for the 5? Is it the 43 that tells you which lens this is?

No, the earlier 5-element version has P/n 43802, the later 6-element version is 43812.

Hello Peter,

very nice pics!! espc. the 2. one. I did one thing wrong in the description of the jelly pic. It is not fully opened it is one step closed as one can see in the little pools of light in the back. The 8 blade structure is visible. Would you say the step between aperture 2.5 and 4 is more 2,8 or 3,5?

Thanks a lot
