My first thought was it must be on film.

I thought that it was until Octav's post made me go back and look again! Very nice.

Have just got a SMC Tak 50 1.4 and i just can't satisfy more with it. This lens is surprisingly sharp at wide open and super sharp if i stop down to f2.0 or above. Here're the proof :

@ 1.4

@2.0 (i think)

@8.0

Ah yes, though there's some yellow casting, but i consider it as the lens's characteristic and don't mind it at all. Cheers !

Just low light, sensor noise, and the "Film Grain" effect when run through NoiseWare.

Ashai fish eye takumar 17/4 VS SMC fish eye takumar 17/4

I do understand both are different lenses ( am I ?), SMC version review seems to be fine but any feedback on non SMC version? i.e. Ashai fish-eye-Takumar 17/4?

thanks in advance
Sudhakar

I've been driving by this Tokyo tire shop for over a decade now, and have never seen the interior looking any neater than this.
