50 again, and again, no big deal. But what the heck is that chain on top supposed to do? Is there nerve gas in there, and that chain keeps the terrorists from unleashing it on Coral Springs?

Living in Coral Springs for so many years, we would be better off if they did.
It is suppose to prevent someone unautorised to shut them down, and cause problems on the other sides of that pipeline.

Lovely shot, Porga. Don't post too many of those as they make me want to go back to Europe.

I get an 11 minute clock on the video. Not sure if that's par or what. Maybe Pentax has a timer no matter how hot it gets. Wish I could turn that off. With the heat transfer system I don't need it. I've got a fully produced concert to shoot with both cameras(k7 normal) in June. guess I better get used to using them.....(video, that is)
Thanks for the feedback. I believe that the 12 minute or so video time limit is caused by the 4G max per video but what I run into is sensor heat warning when I record multiple videos in sequence. Sounds like the mod should take care of that, very nice.

Joining the club!

Well, I've been eyeing a few Tak's for awhile now, and finally met a deal I couldn't resist. (After briefly owning a 135/2.5 and a 105/2.8 -- both of which I liked too!)

But craigslist came beckoning with an SMC 50/1.4, and Super-Tak 35/2 (49mm) ! (Oh, and a Spotmatic, a bunch of filters, a very nice hard-case, a Super-Tak 200/4, a Kenko close-up lens, even an ancient screw mount TC -- hoods, caps and cases for all the lenses too) All this for ... $105!

Repulsive weather here for a few more days, so no good opportunities for using them yet (and they need to be 'de-yellowed' -- even the SMC, which I was surprised by.)

I think the 200 is on it's way out to pay for a 105 or 135... It's quite the hunk of glass and metal though!

I need to thank the seller again -- he seemed happy enough to give them a good 'home'.

I've got 4 different 135mm M42 lenses, 3 of which are Pentax, 3 of which have to go.

Here's some from the S-M-C 135mm f/3.5:
