The 18-250 is a good versatile lens for an outdoor event. I bought mine used and it's much sharper than the 28-75 I recently bought.

I have posted it in K30 photos but I want to show 17-50 as a landscape lens. It's in full resolution

28-75/2.8 shooting photos at a Xavier Rudd concert in a nice small venue. Really fun show!

My first Tamron lens - a 28-200 AF(IF) Aspherical

Recently, I stopped at a yard sale and bought a Pentax P3 with a Tamron 28-200 lens and camera bag for $15.00. Having never owned a Tamron lens before, I immediately installed in on my K2000 and went out into the neighborhood and put the lens through it's paces. I was astonished at the lenses sharpness, color saturation and contrast! Simply amazing! I'm sold.

A shot from the session from which I posted above. This is the first time I've really experimented with masking. Hopefully I will get better at it, but I like the image otherwise.

Magnificent cloud formation, Matt. Great shot. One that you'll not soon forget, I imagine. Thanks for sharing the moment.

Very nice, Mr. Anson. I just bought my first Tamron, a 28-200mm not long ago and it has become one of my favorites. I really like the contrast and color saturation I get with it. It's also one of the sharper lenses I own. I got it, along with a PZ-1 and camera bag for $15.00.

Thanks Dewman.....and you did get a bargain. This is the only Tamron I own. I bought it about 10 years ago and it was the only lens I had for a long time. It has served me well. It does tend to be a bit soft at 200 and I do prefer primes these days, but there are still times when it comes in useful.
