I am actually really annoyed today, I had a Tamron SP 35-80mm f2.8-3.8 adaptall 2 arrive this morning from a Ebay seller and it is absolutely mint.
Trouble is it looks as though the lens mount has been taken apart and the iris is sticking which means its basically a pile of junk.

I am also impressed by your pics with this lens ! Your dragonfly and duck pics are great !

I also have the 19AH and I am very happy with it. However, it is prone to purple fringing at wide aperture, but I can live with this )

I also have some Tamron lenses, so I'll share some pics.

Wow, one of the better moon shots I've seen. Nice lens, good capture.

I was going to say the same thing. I'm impressed even more that you were able to do it with the Pentax 1.7x and Tamron 1.4x but then that tammy converter is about as close to being part of the lens as any TC. All those shots are good.

Tammy 28-200mm f/3.8-5.6 Aspherical IF XR: some shots

Well, I "upgraded" from one cheaper lens (a 28-105mm IF only) to this 28-200mm, another cheaper lens!

It's not the DI lens, which, perhaps, isn't the best choice, but I only paid $115.00 here on the marketplace (which all went very smoothly!) so I'm quite pleased. Some shots from a walk-around this morning. Yes, there are CA issues and purple fringing at the extreme end of the zoom, but I'm willing to take 10 minutes in PS for the price I've paid for this lens to get rid of it if I really find the shot worth it.

Sharpness is fair for me- again, a touch of sharpening and all is well! I'd love more detail, but for now, I don't want to spend $$$$ for a bit more detail. At 8x10 prints, this lens seems to be doing OK.

Some PP done on all shots, a touch of sharpening and some levels adjustment, but all in all much less than what I was having to do to the shots taken with the 28-105mm.

This one I've done quite a bit of PP to darken the walls and bring out mostly highlights:

This one had a big exposure adjustment and a deep top/bottom crop, but I wanted to get to the heart of the matter:

Here's one from an old adaptall 200mm f3.5 I got for $40 with a pentax adapter a while back. The flowers were really small.

Ok, I'll play I have SP 28-75 f2.8 and 28-200mm XR IF (non-DI) version - this was my first lens for Pentax and for "one lens travel" - I love it dearly, and with average to good light, it is a very capable lens imo...

28-200:

28-75mm - love it as general walk around lens and stage/clubs lens:

With CPL

WOW. Both you guys have done more with your Tammy 28-200's than I ever could - I don't know if mine was a lemon, or what, but it was pretty terrible. Those... are not.

That's possible. I bought it because it was named "European Lens of the Year" in 2005 I think? And price for a brand new from Cameta Camera of $99 - I though it had to be better than the kit lens and with more reach. So no regrets for me.

Actually, I returned DA 18-250mm back to the store in favor of 28-200 after couple of days of street walking. Sharpness of good faithful XR IF were better in my copy.

Here some of the first shots came out of my k10D in 2006 with 28-200mm

Too bad about your copy. My daughter has the 28-200 (non DI) and she loves what it does on her K10D. Her only issue is a certain amount of focus hunting.
