There doesn't seem to be many posts from members with the Tamron SP AF70-200 f2.8 Di LD. So I thought i should post another of mine from this excellent lens.
Captured late in the afternoon and very hard to get close to.
I'm working my way through this enormous thread and admiring so many superb shots ..... most of which are commented on. Somehow this one slipped by and I can't believe no-one had anything to say about it. The Spoonbill Stork / Ibis whatever it is.

Just a superb shot .... composition, colour, pose, exposure, just gorgeous !

Mr Froggy, what is the number of the post--this would make it easy for me to find the shot.

Thanks Mate & Merry Christmas--# 761 pin points location for me--the link above takes me right back to this page for some reason.

You are correct, the shot is a great one indeed--I do not know how I missed that one.

This is the first image I've posted to this forum, and one of the first on Flickr, so let me know if I'm doing anything wrong.
As I continue my Odyssey through this Tammy thread here is another shot worthy of notation - gorgeous colours and sharpness - from 110m away ? Great shot !

The only thing wrong you are doing ... with what was your first shot on this forum ... is showing us up ! You should have had more manners and posted something pretty awful to start with !

That is a pretty spectacular shot. I'm not familiar with that lens... but obviously it took some talent and luck. I love everything about that image!

Some first shots with the new-to-me 28-75.

Hmmmm....let me guess, I'll bet this lens came from Javier. Lucky you seeing it early in his "for sale" thread.

You are not kidding--that shot makes me want to sell my whole bucket of Tammys & pick up the 18-250. Perhaps the poster of 946 will treat us to another???

Oh oh ... just remembered I have some 'street' shots of my own. I wonder if FHP will have me hung drawn and quartered for these ?

28-75: Midnight Mass

Way to go Mr. Froggy--those are all great--rock'in colors too.

You have a problem when you sneak a DSLR into Midnight Mass, on Christmas Eve. With the K20d's notorius "robust" shutter noise, I could only sneak a shot when the organ was playing, when the parish was singing, or both. I managed to come away with a couple of decent shots, and a couple of strange looks.

17-50 2.8

First real "performance" outing with this lens. Both are at f2.8, 125 @800. The duo shot is full frame, the other cropped and straightened. Are these too muted? I'm just starting to work with RAW files.
